James turns Five!

For James' 5th birthday we held a Willy Wonka themed party at a local chocolate shop.  We started by delivering golden ticket invitations to all his friends from the neighborhood, but first James got to open his.

At the party there were three different chocolate making activities, so of course they all needed their own Wonka aprons to protect their clothes.
The first activity was a chocolate pizza...

Next were chocolate lollipops...

And finally chocolate covered pretzels...

All of these went home with the kids in their own take-home box.

For lunch they had pizza and Fizzy Lifting Drinks (Jones Soda), and completed the afternoon with chocolate cake.

And this is what 10 kids will do after pumping them full of chocolate and candies...

James was a good host and handed out the goody bags to each of his guests (which included an assortment of Willy Wonka candy...because they didn't get enough already).

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Wonka printables purchased from Etsy seller Serendipity Soiree.

What a fun birthday idea. I'm surprised that Chris didn't get his very own seat at the chocolate-themed party. Sorry we missed this party, but we won't miss the next one!
