Christ the Lord is Risen Today

Easter church services were always some of my favorites as a child.  I loved the "old school" hymns that we sang.  I will always cherish watching and listening to my parents sing the "Halleluiah Chorus" with the church choir.  Easter dinner always included an egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and cheese peas.

We had a much lower key Easter day today, but the message is still the same.  Christ the Lord is risen today.  And however you celebrate, that is always worth celebrating.

All dressed up, showing off his Easter basket goodies ("Hook" movie, since he loves pirates right now; stamp kit, notebook and pencils, stickers and chocolate treats)
 opening cards from the grandparents

 dying eggs

pretty!

(Chris and James made up deviled eggs for dinner tonight, and then James dropped half of them on the floor)
